New: the sculptor Henri Caps


Welcome on the Website "Artists from Liege" (Artistes de Liège)

You will find here a selection of plastician artists who are linked in one way or another to the City of Liege or its Province. Some were born here and have built their art and their life in this region, others have come from other parts of the country or from abroad to settle here.
For the time being there are twelve of them presented on this website, seven painters and five sculptors. They are all still very active in their work today.

Whether young or experienced, all these artists are mastering their techniques and have developed original and strong personalities. They deserve your attention for the quality of their work and of their inspiration.

It is obvious that many other artists from and within Liege also deserve to be presented to a large audience, but it has not been possible to increase their number on the site for now.

Navigation through the website
Navigation is intuitive.
You have access to the list of artists with a click on the "Artists" button at the top of the page.
All the pictures (except those of the artist's studio) contain a hyperlink to a page presenting the work in a larger format, with title, year, etc. You just have to click on the picture to open this page. Work titles that are underlined and in italics in the texts also open these pages.
A click on the "Home" button takes you back to this introductory page.
Finally you can change languages at any time by clicking on the flag of the desired language.

I would like to express my thanks first to the artists themselves, who have accepted to open the doors of their studios for me, to give me pictures and press clippings. This website would not exist without their co-operation.
